Guest Speaker: Shane Phillips
Shane Phillips is a housing policy researcher and consultant in Los Angeles, managing the UCLA Lewis Center Housing Initiative and hosting the UCLA Housing Voice Podcast. Previously, he taught public policy at USC and was Director of Public Policy for the Central City Association. He advocates for city support in tenant protections and housing abundance to tackle the housing crisis, offering over 50 policy recommendations categorized under the Three S's: Supply, Stability, and Subsidy, each providing a moral and economic rationale and suggesting collaborative approaches.
